I have selected some news from the web dev world to share.
π§ When Code Is Cheap, Does Quality Still Matter?π’ Better fluid sizing with round()β‘ Announcing Rolldown 1.0π― Don't Outsource the Learning
Have a great week.
Β« In the LLM era, quality is less about protecting the act of writing code and more about protecting the act of changing code.Β» Amen.
Β« The producing code got cheaper but the ownership did not. Β» 100% agree.
I think in the near it will be very hard to know which person is owner of the code if everyone can rewrite the codebase in two days, I think the hardest part will be to refrain removing code.
I really like every article of Ahmad Shadeed, very cool interactive example and it just display the power of css when used right.
Finally, stable version, I already use it in my company itβs unbelievable how itβs fast !!
Β« Using AI without an active intent to learn quietly degrades the skill youβre being paid for.Β»
Spot on article about how you use AI in your work, I feel it too, sometimes I find it really hard to think and just tell the IA to do it. I think using IA with intent to sharpen your skills will push us in the next level but letting the IA doing everything for us will do us more harm than good.
Web tools and Library
Terminal-first workflow for parallel AI agents. Turn your terminal into a multi-agent workspace. Every task gets a dedicated git worktree and tmux window, letting agents code conflict-free.
A JavaScript library for reading, writing, and converting video and audio files. Directly in the browser, and faster than anybunny else.
Liquid DOM is a monorepo for WebGPU liquid-glass rendering, React bindings, Three.js integration, React Three Fiber integration, and the renderer-agnostic layout engine used by the higher-level APIs.
In my endless search for trying another product not made by americains. Tresorit is a secure file exchange & collaboration system, made to replace google product or Outlook.
